The August meeting and educational program of the Lenawee County Family Researchers will be held in partnership with the Lenawee Historical Society. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, in the Frazier Auditorium on the second floor of the Lenawee Historical Museum located in the historic Carnegie Library Building at 110 E. Church Street in Adrian. The meeting comes to order at 6:00 pm and is followed by the program at about 6:45.
The speaker is Jessica Trotter, an authority on using DNA for family history research. She will present “Now you have the results!” focusing on interpreting and using the results from your DNA tests to aid in your search for relatives and ancestors.
Lenawee County Family Researchers is the genealogical society serving Lenawee County. The society meets monthly with a genealogical education program following a short business meeting. Light refreshments will be served, and visitors are always welcome.
Programs are open to the public and are free, although donations are accepted.
