The August meeting and educational program of the Lenawee County Family Researchers will be held in partnership with the Lenawee Historical Society. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in the Frazier Auditorium on the second floor of the Lenawee Historical Museum located in the historic Carnegie Library Building at 110 E. Church Street in Adrian.
The doors will open at 5:30 for socializing and networking with the program scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. The program will be followed by refreshments and a short business meeting.
This month’s speaker is Carolyn Bater, Register of Deeds for Lenawee County. She will be speaking about the records on file in the Register of Deeds office. The Register of Deeds office is responsible for receiving, recording and digital storage of all legal documents affecting Real Estate within Lenawee County. Including, but not limited to, Deeds, Land Contracts, Mortgages, Liens, Surveys and Land Corners.
Lenawee County Family Researchers is the genealogical society serving Lenawee County. The society meets monthly with a genealogical education program followed by a short business meeting. Light refreshments will be served, and visitors are always welcome.
Programs are open to the public and are free, although donations are accepted.
