The D.A.R. in Adrian: Lucy Wolcott Barnum Chapter

Please join us at the museum on November 16, 2023, to learn about the important contributions of the D.A.R. at the local, state, and national levels.

Marianne Vykydal is the Immediate Past Regent of the Lucy Wolcott Barnum Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (the D.A.R.). She will be talking about the history of the D.A.R. in Adrian as well as the Chapter’s home in the historic Governor Charles Croswell House.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Its members are descended from the patriots who won America’s independence during the Revolutionary War. The Lucy Wolcott Chapter in Adrian is unique among D.A.R. chapters because it is one of the few chapters housed in an important historic building.
